Russ Andrews Accessories introduces Kimber network enabled HDMI cable
The HD 19e, which replaces the HD-19, uses heavy gauge silver-plated conductors to ensure the transfer of ultra-wide bandwidth audio, video and ethernet signals is unhindered. Connection is made via gold plated connectors and the cable is finished with a braided outer jacket. For installers, the HD 19e has been designed to meet all curent safety requirements for in-wall use.
With many home cinema components now being network capable, for services such as BD-Live or streaming, it is essential to connect the equipment to a broadband router or modem. When using ‘HDMI Ethernet Channel enabled’ equipment the HD 19e allows the user to take advantage of having just one of the home cinema components connected via ethernet. The network signals for the other components are carried through the HDMI cable, making installation and wiring much simpler.
To ensure the best possible picture and sound, the 3D capable HD 19e supports up to 1440p, Tru 24fps, 120Hz & 240Hz refresh rates. It is Deep Color compatible. Audio support is provided for Dolby Tru-HD, DTS MasterAudio HD. Its ethernet rating is Category 2 for 10.2 Gbps.
The Kimber HDMI is manufactured by leading US based company Kimber Kable, for which Russ Andrews has exclusive distribution in the UK market.
Commenting on the launch of the new cable, Russ Andrews, managing director, said “With the introduction of the HD 19e we've seen clear improvements in image and sound quality, with less noise and finer colour detail. Add in the network capabilities of the cable and it is clear to see that, once again, Kimber has applied its 25 years of cable knowledge to create products that really benefit the user, with clear and obvious improvements in performance.”
